The North Carolina State Highway Patrol enforces all traffic laws on North Carolina toll facilities.

If you do not have a NC Quick Pass account, your can travel on any North Carolina toll facility in your new car and you will receive a invoice in the mail. 

If you have a NC Quick Pass account and just got a new car, you will need to add or update the vehicle(s) listed on your account to avoid potential charges. You can update your information by logging in to your account and visiting the Vehicles section. 

You will also need to make sure a transponder is associated with the new vehicle on your account. The NC Quick Pass Sticker transponder is not transferable to other vehicles. You will need to deactivate the transponder on your account and request a new one. 

If you have the NC Quick Pass transponder or the NC Quick Pass Flex transponder, you must update the license plate associated with that transponder to transfer it to a new vehicle. You can update the license plate associated with your transponder by logging in to your account.
